Infinite Orbits, European leader in in-orbit servicing, today announced the acquisition of LMO’s Luxembourg-based operations, a specialist in autonomous space systems, after years of strong partnership between both companies. This acquisition :
Establishes Infinite Orbits’ operational presence in Luxembourg, reinforcing its European footprint after the expansion of its team in France and in Spain,
Strengthens its Orbit Guard servicer, Infinite Orbits’ geostationary surveillance micro satellite, with advanced autonomous SSA software,
Strengthens rendezvous & proximity operations capabilities for In-Orbit Servicing missions like its life extension servicer, Endurance.
Consolidates sovereign expertise within the European ecosystem of two companies partnering for years.
It marks a strategic step in Infinite Orbits’ ambition to build a European sovereign infrastructure in orbit at a time when protection of high-value assets has become a structural priority for governments and operators worldwide.

Anchoring Long-Term Growth in Luxembourg
The acquisition, which will be fully finalized within 15 days, will establish Infinite Orbits’ permanent footprint in Luxembourg, one of Europe’s most dynamic space hubs.
The company plans to build on the existing team and expand its local presence and deepen collaboration with existing and new partners, building on long-standing engagements within the Luxembourgish ecosystem. This move strengthens both Luxembourg’s role in Europe’s space landscape and Infinite Orbits’ commitment to long-term industrial anchoring across key European markets.
Lex Delles, Luxembourg Economy Minister:
“The acquisition of LMO by Infinite Orbits further demonstrates Luxembourg’s ability to attract leading players in the space sector. By bringing together LMO with Infinite Orbits, we are not only strengthening our national space ecosystem, but also contributing to Europe’s strategic autonomy in the monitoring and protection of critical orbital infrastructure. Attracting new companies while consolidating those that choose to grow here reinforces our technological sovereignty, creates high‑value jobs and strengthens Luxembourg’s position as a leading space nation.”
Building a European in-orbit surveillance capability for protecting GEO strategic assets
Orbit Guard™ is designed to inspect, monitor and safeguard geostationary satellites in increasingly complex and contested orbital environments. By integrating LMO’ software capabilities, Infinite Orbits enhances its ability to deliver advanced on-board monitoring, improve space situational awareness and long-term protection of strategic space assets by delivering fast and already processed data. The objective is clear: to provide end users with processed data, enabling them to make quick and informed decisions.
The transaction brings together in-orbit servicing and advanced orbital data analytics within a single European industrial framework. It reinforces Infinite Orbits’ position as a company not only operating in space, but also contributing to the architecture of Europe’s long-term orbital security and resilience.
At a time when orbital congestion and security concerns are accelerating globally, consolidating critical technologies within Europe has become both an industrial and strategic imperative.
