  • "Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.

  • "Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.

About the Role

We are seeking a Satellite Propulsion Architect to develop the propulsion systems of IO’s satellites. The ideal candidate should have experience in building and testing propulsion technologies and a deep understanding of the challenges in space propulsion.

Job Description

  • Lead the design and development of the electrical propulsion subsystems for a GEO mission profile (electric with orbit raising, stationkeeping with thruster arm).

  • Responsible for the specification of the propulsion system and dedicated equipments.

  • Responsible for qualification of the subsystem:

    • Prepare and manage system level propulsion coupling tests for development and AIT validation.

    • Oversee testing and validation performed by suppliers.

    • Make sure that the qualification and validation logic is in line with IO quality levels/standards.

  • Propose propulsion system architecture including on-ground and in-orbit operations (testing, filling, gauging).
