Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. IO has two generations of missions
"Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.
"Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.
About the Role
As the Mechanism Delivery Manager you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of mechanical and electromechanical mechanisms, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and schedule requirements. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams to oversee the design, production, testing, and delivery of mechanisms for complex systems such as spacecraft, aircraft, robotics, or industrial equipment.
Job Description
Lead the system engineering activities of endurance mechanisms including the electric propulsion thruster arm and the docking system mechanisms.Â
Define and organize the qualification and MAIT of the mechanisms by the suppliers.
Responsible for delivery of mechanisms on quality, on time, on cost
Lead the analysis and justification performed internally at IO at system level for endurance mechanisms.
Lead and coach relevant team members.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in program or delivery management, ideally with mechanical or electromechanical systems.
Proven track record of delivering complex hardware projects on time and within budget.
Strong technical understanding of mechanisms, actuators, linkages, or gear systems.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, assembly, and testing of mechanical components.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Experience with ERP, PLM, and project management tools (e.g., SAP, Teamcenter, MS Project, Jira).
Desirable Experience and Skills:
PMP certification or similar project management credentials.
Experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, or high-precision manufacturing environments.
Understanding of space or flight hardware standards (e.g., NASA, ESA, AS9100).
Working knowledge of tolerance analysis, FMEA, and DFM/DFA principles.
