Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution.


  • "Orbit Guard" is a nanosatellite capable of monitoring objects from GEO orbit. Our first satellite was launched on 1 May 2023 by SpaceX!

  • "Endurance" is a docking service capable of keeping customer satellites in position for an extended lifetime of 5 years, paving the way for future in-orbit maintenance services.

Are you passionate about technology and New Space, and want to be part of this new space conquest? To complete our dynamic and international team, we are seeking an energetic and highly motivated Embedded systems engineer intern to join our team for 6 months.

Job Description

  • Implement and test state-of-the-art navigation and control algorithms in simulation environments and on target flight processor.

  • Integrate, debug, and test software on target hardware and heterogeneous system architectures (ARM, RISC-V as well as FPGAs) as well as different target OS (Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, baremetal).

  • Help Implement and integrate robotics algorithms into software using MATLAB, Python and/or C++.

  • Automate optimized code generation from high-level languages to embedded C/C++.

  • Design custom low-latency interfaces and drivers for a multitude of sensors.


In the end, your work will end up flying in orbit!

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or higher, specifically in the field of Computer Science, Embedded systems or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in Embedded C, as well as hands-on experience with Git, MATLAB and/or Python.

  • Experience in software development for SoC and real-time operating systems (i.e. FreeRTOS).

  • We value team spirit and problem-solving. As our team is international, English is the only working language at Infinite Orbits.


  • Knowledge in the following technologies is appreciated:

    • Understanding of embedded systems and kernel development.

    • Robotics Software Development.
