Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. IO has two generations of missions
"Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.
"Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.
About the Role
To complete our dynamic and international team, we are looking for an AIT Manager. He/She is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) activities for spacecraft, satellite subsystems, or other high-reliability systems. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and successful transition of hardware from manufacturing through to delivery, launch, or final deployment, in accordance with technical and programmatic requirements.
Job Description
AIT Planning & Execution
Define the AIT strategy and develop detailed plans for system-level assembly, mechanical/electrical integration, environmental testing, and functional verification.
Coordinate and oversee the execution of AIT campaigns, including cleanroom operations, lifting and handling, alignment, and test sequencing.
Team Leadership
Lead a multidisciplinary AIT team, including technicians, test engineers, integration specialists, and support staff.
Ensure that all team members adhere to safety, quality, and cleanliness standards (e.g., ISO 14644, ESA ECSS).
Interface & Coordination
Work closely with design engineering, production, quality assurance, supply chain, and project management to ensure readiness and smooth execution.
Act as the primary point of contact for AIT status, risks, and recovery actions during internal and customer reviews.
Resource & Facility Management
Manage AIT facility usage (cleanrooms, test chambers, GSE/MGSE, etc.), tooling, and test equipment availability.
Ensure calibration, certification, and proper maintenance of test and handling equipment.
Test Campaign Management
Oversee system-level test activities including:
Mechanical (vibration, shock)
Thermal (vacuum bakeout, thermal balance/cycle)
Electrical (EMC, functional, software-in-the-loop)
Review and approve test procedures, data packs, and test reports.
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure comprehensive documentation and configuration management throughout the AIT process.
Deliver required reports and End Item Data Packages (EIDPs) in line with contract and regulatory requirements (e.g., ESA, NASA, MIL-STD).
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
7+ years of relevant experience in space or high-reliability systems, including leadership roles in integration and testing.
Deep understanding of satellite/subsystem AIT processes and space qualification standards (ECSS, MIL-STD-1540, etc.).
Proven experience managing AIT campaigns through critical project phases (e.g., delivery, launch).

Experience with EGSE and MGSE design and operations.
Familiarity with PLM and test management tools (e.g., DOORS, Windchill, SAP, TestRail).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills during integration/test.
Excellent communication, team leadership, and stakeholder management abilities.
