  • "Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO.

  • "Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.

About the Role

As part of the development of our future space systems, we are looking for a Thermal Architect to join our team in Toulouse and lead thermal activities from design through qualification.

Job Description

  • Define the satellite's thermal architecture and Thermal Control System (TCS).

  • Perform and lead thermal analyses and develop associated thermal models using SYSTEMA / ESATAN.

  • Define thermal requirements and ensure their allocation and follow-up across the various satellite systems and subsystems.

  • Work closely with systems, mechanical, electrical and avionics teams.

  • Contribute to the different development phases and major project milestones, including SRR, PDR, CDR and QR.

  • Prepare and support thermal testing activities, and contribute to thermal model correlation.

  • Manage technical interfaces with thermal hardware suppliers.

  • Monitor and assess the thermal performance of COTS and internally developed equipment.

  • Participate in design reviews, risk analyses and technical problem-solving throughout the development of the satellite.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or engineering degree in thermal engineering, mechanical engineering, energy or aerospace engineering.

  • Experience in space thermal engineering, ideally on geostationary satellites.

  • Good knowledge of satellite Thermal Control Systems (TCS).

  • Experience with SYSTEMA and/or ESATAN.

  • Experience with satellite development and qualification processes and major project milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR, QR).

  • Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and manage technical interfaces with suppliers.

  • Autonomous, proactive and comfortable working in a startup and innovative project environment.

  • Professional proficiency in English.
