About the Role
As part of the development of our future space systems, we are looking for a Thermal Architect to join our team in Toulouse and lead thermal activities from design through qualification.
Job Description
Define the satellite's thermal architecture and Thermal Control System (TCS).
Perform and lead thermal analyses and develop associated thermal models using SYSTEMA / ESATAN.
Define thermal requirements and ensure their allocation and follow-up across the various satellite systems and subsystems.
Work closely with systems, mechanical, electrical and avionics teams.
Contribute to the different development phases and major project milestones, including SRR, PDR, CDR and QR.
Prepare and support thermal testing activities, and contribute to thermal model correlation.
Manage technical interfaces with thermal hardware suppliers.
Monitor and assess the thermal performance of COTS and internally developed equipment.
Participate in design reviews, risk analyses and technical problem-solving throughout the development of the satellite.
Requirements
Master's degree or engineering degree in thermal engineering, mechanical engineering, energy or aerospace engineering.
Experience in space thermal engineering, ideally on geostationary satellites.
Good knowledge of satellite Thermal Control Systems (TCS).
Experience with SYSTEMA and/or ESATAN.
Experience with satellite development and qualification processes and major project milestones (SRR, PDR, CDR, QR).
Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and manage technical interfaces with suppliers.
Autonomous, proactive and comfortable working in a startup and innovative project environment.
Professional proficiency in English.
