Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. IO has two generations of missions
"Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third launching in 2026.
"Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.
About the Role
To complete our dynamic and international team, we are looking for an experienced Security Engineer! You will play a crucial role in the development of security protocols and best practices to ensure robust and secure operations of our many satellite missions.
Job Description
1. IT Security:
Design, implement, and maintain IT security infrastructure to protect internal networks, systems, and data.
Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Develop and enforce secure IT policies and procedures across the organization.
2. Data Security:
Implement data protection strategies, including encryption, access controls, and secure storage solutions.
Monitor data flow within development environments and operational systems to prevent unauthorized access or data leaks.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and CNES contractual requirements.
3. Office Facilities Security:
Oversee physical security measures for office facilities, including access control systems, surveillance, and personnel security protocols.
Collaborate with facility management to implement and review emergency response plans.
Ensure secure handling and storage of sensitive physical and digital information within office premises.
4. Satellite Operations Security:
Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies for satellite operations, including ground systems, telemetry, and control networks.
Ensure secure communication channels between ground stations and satellites, preventing unauthorized access or interference.
Establish incident response protocols for satellite-related cyber threats and security breaches.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as IP, TCP/UDP, HTTP, and others.
Proficiency in implementing and managing security measures for network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Extensive experience with cybersecurity standards, particularly CCSDS and ISO/IEC 2700X and ISO/IEC 2703X standards for cybersecurity.
Experience with network security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools.
Ability to draft and enforce security policies and procedures in a fast-paced, self-directed, and result-oriented environment.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Good to have:
A graduate degree in Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Coding skills in Python, Java, or C/C++.
Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies, such as VMware, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of space communication systems and standards such as ECSS and CCSDS.
The French language is a plus.
