"Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.
"Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.
About the Role
We are seeking a Satellite Propulsion Architect to develop the propulsion systems of Infinite Orbits’ satellites. The ideal candidate should have experience in building and testing propulsion technologies and a deep understanding of the challenges in space propulsion.
Job Description
Lead the design and development of the chemical and electrical propulsion systems for satellite applications with orbit raising.
Manage propulsion budgets, analyses and justification.
Prepare and manage propulsion coupling tests.
Propose propulsion system architecture including on-ground and in-orbit operations (testing, filling, gauging).
Build ICD and user manuals for operation of the propulsion systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineering, thermal management, and power systems, to ensure seamless integration of propulsion systems.
Oversee testing and validation of propulsion systems, including ground tests and in-orbit performance evaluations.
Stay current with the latest advancements in propulsion technologies and space mission requirements, and apply this knowledge to ongoing and future projects.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and performance reports.
Be responsible for safety rules compliance related to Launcher for High pressure systems.
Manage fluidic equipment and suppliers. Knowledge of valves and sensor technology. Knowledge of safety regulations associated with HP equipment.
Requirements
Engineering or equivalent degree in a related field.
4-5 years of professional experience.
Strong knowledge of propulsion technologies, including chemical, electric, and hybrid propulsion systems.
Proficiency in propulsion system analysis tools and software.
Experience with system-level integration and testing of propulsion systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Experience with systems engineering principles and methodologies applied to satellite projects.
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing project requirements in a dynamic environment.
Proficiency in English.
Good to have:
PhD in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
Experience with in-orbit propulsion system operations and performance monitoring.
Experience in satellite systems or subsystems development
Experience in test preparation and execution for space applications.
