  • "Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.


  • "Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.

To complete our dynamic and international team, we are looking for a profile of an experienced Satellite FlatSat and Simulator Engineer !

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Satellite FlatSat and Simulator Engineer to join our team in Toulouse.

Job Description

  • Develop satellite simulators to accurately replicate the behavior and characteristics of real satellite systems, including communication, navigation, and payload functions.

  • Define simulation requirements based on the specifications of the actual satellite systems and mission objectives, as well as the actual satellite design.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to identify appropriate simulation technologies and components.

  • Oversee the design, development, and integration of simulation models by coordinating with different suppliers or internal teams.

  • Conduct testing and validation of the satellite simulators to ensure accuracy and reliability in various operational scenarios.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the simulation development team and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Document simulation designs, processes, and procedures for future reference and maintenance purposes.

  • Stay updated on advancements in satellite technology, simulation techniques, and industry best practices to incorporate relevant improvements into the simulation development process.

Requirements

  • Engineering or equivalent degree in a related field. 

  • 4-5 years of professional experience. 

  • Strong understanding of satellite systems, including communication protocols, navigation systems, and payload functionalities. 

  • Proficiency in simulation software and tools used for modeling satellite behavior and dynamics. 

  • Project management skills, including the ability to define project milestones, allocate resources, and manage timelines effectively. 

  • Knowledge of Space Standards (CCSDS, ECSS, PUS) and ground/space protocols, as well as various DHS bus protocols. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, external suppliers, and stakeholders. 

  • Problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and optimize simulation performance. 

  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability in simulation models.

  • Experience with systems engineering principles and methodologies applied to satellite simulation projects. 

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing project requirements in a dynamic environment. 

  • Proficiency in English. 


Good to have: 

  • Experience in embedded system SW development. 

  • Experience in hybrid validation bench development. 

  • Knowledge of UML, unit tests tools, git, code coverage tools. 

  • Experience in Linux development. 

  • Coding abilities in C/C++, scripting languages. 

  • French language is a plus.
