  • "Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.

  • "Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.

To complete our dynamic and international team, we are looking for a profile of an experienced FlatSat Test Engineer !

Job Description

  • Design and develop test plans and procedures based on system requirements and test objectives for FlatSat testing.

  • Configure FlatSat test setups, including satellite hardware, simulators, test equipment, and monitoring tools, to replicate real-world operating conditions.

  • Collaborate with system engineers, hardware engineers, and software developers to define test scenarios, identify test cases, and establish testing priorities.

  • Write and execute test campaigns according to the defined test plans, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Conduct functional tests, performance tests, stress tests, and environmental tests to validate system functionality, performance, and robustness.

  • Monitor and analyze test results, identifying deviations, anomalies, and potential issues, and provide recommendations for resolution or improvement.

  • Document test procedures, results, and observations in test reports, ensuring traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions or preventive measures.

  • Maintain test equipment, tools, and facilities, ensuring their availability, reliability, and calibration for ongoing testing activities.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to satellite testing methodologies and tools.

Requirements

  • Engineering or equivalent degree in a related field. 

  • Strong understanding of satellite systems, hardware components, communication protocols, and operational concepts. 

  • Proficiency in test planning, test case development, and test execution methodologies for complex systems. 

  • Experience with FlatSat testing techniques, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing. 

  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks, scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), and test management tools. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting test results, identifying trends, and troubleshooting issues. 

  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, presenting findings, and documenting test procedures and results. 

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance practices, including compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. 

  • Proficiency in English. 


Good to have: 

  • MSc or PhD in related fields. 

  • Experience in hybrid validation of embedded systems. 

  • Knowledge of spacecraft design. 

  • Knowledge of Space Standards (CCSDS, ECSS, PUS). 

  • The French Language is a plus.
