About the Company

Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. 

  • "Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third launching in 2026.

  • Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.

Are you passionate about technology and New Space, and want to be part of this new space conquest? To complete our dynamic and international team, we are seeking an energetic and highly motivated Computer Vision Intern to join our team for 6 months.

Job Description

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of IO’s GNC software for rendezvous and docking missions.

  • Develop navigation algorithms that include image processing, ML, sensor fusion, state estimation and propagation.

  • Carry out analyses for subsystem design verification, e.g. Monte Carlo, sensitivity, performance, identification of failure modes.

  • Support the systems engineering activities, towards maturation of IO’s missions. In the end, your work will end up flying in orbit!

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent), in a relevant engineering area, e.g. automation, computer science, robotics etc.

  • Proficiency in use of Matlab/Simulink, Python or deep learning computer vision techniques (PyTorch/Tensorflow)

  • Proactive attitude and ability to work in a team are strongly valued.

  • As our team is international, English is the only working language at Infinite Orbits.


  • Good to have

    • Experience with filtering techniques and basic optics

    • Being familiar with Stateflow, auto-coding techniques and GitHub

    • Previous project/internship experience in a GNC framework

    • Orbital mechanics and spacecraft ADCS subsystem.

    • French language.
