About the Company

Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution. IO has two generations of missions

  • "Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third third launching in 2026.

  • Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.

About the Role

To complete our dynamic and international team, we are looking for a profile of an experienced AOCS Engineer !

Job Description

  • Manage 3rd party ADCS suppliers: review technical documentation and testing reports.

  • Supervise integration tests for the ADCS subsystem at flatsat level and full PFM level.

  • Develop and execute integrated tests to validate interfaces between ADCS and other subsystems, edge cases, FDIR scenarios, etc.

  • Develop ground and flight SW for orbital control and satellite momentum management in GEO orbit.

  • Build simulation environment to develop and test orbital control and momentum management SW.

  • Integrate AOCS specific simulation models with other satellite subsystem models for integrated tests.

Requirements

  • Engineering or equivalent degree in a related field.

  • 4-5 years of professional experience.

  • Strong understanding of AOCS, including knowledge on sensors and actuators, estimation algorithms, guidance and control algorithms, environmental disturbances, etc. 

  • Experience in developing components for AOCS and/or full satellite system simulators.

  • Experience in SIL/PIL/HIL testing campaigns for AOCS systems.

  • Flight dynamics knowledge, with focus on GEO orbits.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, external suppliers, and stakeholders.

  • Problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and optimize simulation performance.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing project requirements in a dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency in English.
